The perfect builder for the absolute perfectionist
Sara and David Osborn chose Steve Fletcher to build the house of their dreams—a house the couple designed themselves.
“We wanted tall ceilings, big rooms, 6,000 square feet and plenty of space for our antique furniture,” Sara said. “Steve Fletcher helped us fit our dream home on our lot, removed our outdated home in Terrace Park and built us exactly what we wanted.”
In October 1999, Fletcher broke ground on the traditional, colonial-style home that Sara and David poured their hearts into designing. The couple knew Fletcher, and had seen the upscale homes he has built and renovated. “We had heard of Steve through friends, neighbors and through business,” Sara said. “We saw what he had done and knew the accountability would be there.”
Fletcher and his crew were at the home daily, completing the construction in about 13 months. The Osborns were impressed with Fletcher’s professionalism, noting that his even-keeled temperament and high regard for perfection shows through in the people he hires.
“The carpenters were phenomenal,” Sara said. “My husband is very meticulous, and I anticipated some complaints, but he never had any.”
The Osborns said they had no problem allowing Fletcher and his crew in their home when they weren’t there. Sara said the crew was always prompt and highly honorable. She added that their new four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has been zero maintenance. The couple can’t even report a nail pop. “In Terrace Park, we feel spoiled to have Steve here because he lives here and builds here,” Sara said. “Many referrals here are by word of mouth, and so Steve is held accountable for what he does here.”
The couple says many friends are now using Fletcher to renovate their homes based on their referral. “He builds quality homes—it’s that simple,” Sara said.
